FLT & LOADING SHOVEL DRIVER
Our successful Ashton in Makerfield Branch is currently looking for an FLT & Loading Shovel Driver to join our external, yard-based team.
This is a hands-on role supporting yard operations, including operating a loading shovel to handle aggregates and load bulk bags. A full clean UK driving licence is preferred, and Saturday overtime is available.

Responsibilities
In this role you will work as part of our external yard-based team.
Duties are varied and will include:
Assisting customers with collections and queries
Picking and packing orders accurately
Loading and unloading vehicles safely
Operating a loading shovel to load bulk bags with aggregates
Handling and storing aggregates safely within the yard
Storing stock safely and securely in the yard
Maintaining a tidy, safe working environment
Supporting the branch with additional duties as needed
What You'll Need
- Counterbalance FLT licence (required)
- Loading Shovel licence / experience (required)
- Full clean UK driving licence (preferred)
- Previous Timber/Builders Merchant experience is an advantage
You'll be working with customers daily, so we are looking for someone who is:

The Details
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £31,616 – £33,345 per annum (experience / licence dependent)
Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm (Monday to Friday) + Saturday overtime
