You may already be a Branch Manager or have experience as an Assistant Manager and be ready for the next step. Either way you’ll know how to lead a team, are great with customers and know the trade inside out. The exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, enthusiastic Manager with proven experience to join and lead our team.

Who we are

North West Timber Treatments is a leading regional timber and building supplier, employing over 90 staff, serving thousands of customers.

We supply construction materials to the public, contractors, businesses and local public bodies. Our customers love our products and that's why we've managed to grow >20% in the past year. Managing 3 manufacturing centres within 7 retail sites, with a distribution network across the North West.

Here’s What We’d Like

  • Be closely involved in everything from monitoring performance to coordinating promotional activity, analysing competitor activity and compiling reports for use in operational forecasting.
  • Be commercially minded with a good knowledge of warehouse, logistics, administrative, HR and health & safety procedures.
  • Positive, friendly face and voice that greets returning customers. You will build and manage relationships with them.
  • You will manage and assist with training and developing sales and operational staff within depot.
  • Leading, training and developing your team while troubleshooting any problems that may occur.
  • Processing orders at the sales counter, over the phone, and responding to customers via email.
  • Manage stock levels in the store using our inventory management system.

Who You are

  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are comfortable building relationships with different stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in the trade or construction industry is essential.
  • Full competence with standard software packages, including 365 platforms.
  • You have a self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced working environment.
  • High integrity and trustworthy individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
  • Effective team working and networking skills.
  • The flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Basic numeracy skills.

  • Competitive salary (£32,000 - £34,000)
  • Permanent
  • Full time
  • Monday - Friday 7:00 - 17:00
  • Saturday 7:00 - 12:00

Work mode 100% On site-based.
